Join our hiking trip and come to the main mountain of Graz together with us! From there we will have a wonderful view and on nice, sunny days we can see till the boarders of Slovenia!

• WHEN: Sun, 31st May 2015
• MEETING POINT: 9.00 a.m., Jakominiplatz (at Sorger) or 9.30 a.m., Andritz endstation
• APPROXIMATE RETURN IN GRAZ: 5.30 p.m.
• COSTS: 4€ with ESN Card, 8€ without ESN Card
• SIGN UP/REGISTRATION: Please register in the office hours at the office of ESN Uni Graz or TU Graz until the 27th of May 2015

On Sunday, 31st of May, we'll hike together onto the Schöckl.

We’ll first take the tram and the bus afterwards to Stattegg, where we will start from hiking up the mountain. After the hike down to St.Radegrund we’ll take a bus back to Graz.

Please be aware! Our way will lead us through rough and steeply terrain so you will need sturdy footwear with a good profile. Bring also a sweater or a jacket, because it could get windy on the mountain. Furthermore, you should pack a raincoat (no umbrella!) as well as sun protection (lotion and maybe also a cap/hat), something to eat for the lunch break and especially enough to drink! An extra t-shirt could be useful, because you might get a little sweaty ;) Don't forget money for the public transport!

Schedule:

Bus E5 to Andritz (1 journey/zone) from there bus #41/#53 to Stattegg – Sonnenhang hike onto Schöckl (1030 m altitude diff., 9 km) appr. 3 hrs. (incl. short breaks) break/lunch (there is even a cottage onto the mountain) hike down to St.Radegrund (660 m altitude diff., 6km) appr. 2 hrs. return home with bus #250, arrival Opernring (3 zones)

If the weather is bad (rain), the hiking trip won’t take place! latest weather data at the mountain

This is a real hike (15km), not a walk!
