Hiking tour: Schöckl

On Sunday, April 29, we will go for our next and more challenging hike! At the top there is a cabin which we will visit (you can buy food or a cold beer there if you want).

Meeting point: 9:45 am in front of the ÖAD-Heim (Neubaugasse)
or 10:05 am at Graz-Andritz (last station of tramway number 5)

We take the tramway Nr. 5 from Keplerbrücke to Andritz, then bus Nr. 53 to
Stattegg. Return from St. Radegund with the bus Nr. 250

Distance:
Up: Statteg-Hub – Schöckl 3 hours mounting, 1030 meters altitude, 9 km
Down: Schöckl – St. Radegund 2 hours descending, 6 km

Lazy people can take the cable car (starting in St. Radegund) instead of walking. (Price: up € 5,50, down 3,7€ or up&down € 7,50)

You need:

• good shoes
• Rainproof clothes
• snacks and drinks
• about € 6 for bus/tram ATTENTION: If you have a valid GVB-ticket, you will need to buy 2 more zones for the return ride because we are leaving the zone of Graz!

Route: Stattegg-Hub (420 m) – Falschgraben – Kapelle in Buch (718 m) – Langer Weg – Johann-Waller-Hütte (1160 m) – Gipfelkreuz
(1442 m) – Sender (1445 m) – Schöcklkopf (1423 m) – Gasthof Schöcklbartl (1031 m) – St. Radegund Seilbahn-Talstation (780 m)
