Beyond Borders - Exchange students helping Refugees
The following project description is aimed to be a SocialErasmus project: SocialErasmus is an ESN international project, which aims to involve young citizens during their mobility experience through activities that take social action, fostering change in the society.
Due to the current refugee situation, encampments were built all over Austria to help those who fled and are now seeking a better life in Europe. The number of people arriving is constantly increasing and the volunteer workers need any help they can get. Come with us to the Schwarzl See and do something meaningful. Leave your mark. Help those in need. Our main task will be helping with the preparation and distribution of food and then spend some time with the children who are staying there.
Although everybody is welcome to join us, especially people who study medicine as well as people who speak Arabic or Persian, are urgently needed. Encampments are usually short on doctors and interpreters.
