Schöckl weekend!

Get your hiking boots ready for a weekend at Schöckl, our lovely "Hausberg" (home mountain) right next to Graz. 

What to expect: 

First and foremost: a fund weekend! We´ll stay together at an old farmers villa right at the foot of Schöckl from Saturday to Sunday.  

PLAN for the weekend: 

• SATURDAY: After arriving at the villa, we will hike up the mountain. There, we will spend most of the afernoon, have a picnic and enjoy the nice view at the top. Afterwards, we will cook some delicious Austrian food together and enjoy the night at a cozy campfire session.

• SUNDAY: For all the adventure seekers out there, there´s an optional visit to a nearby climbing park ron Sunday afternoon. The perfect opportunity to challenge yourself and add a bit of additional thrill to this weekend! Check-out is after breakfast. 

INCLUDED are: 

• One night in the villa (room distribution will be done on site)
• An Austrian dinner on Saturday
• Breakfast on Sunday

For the mountaintop picnic on Saturday we´d ask you all to bring your own food. And feel free to bring along your favourite board/card games as well for some friendly cabin competition in the evening. 

HARD FACTS: 

WHEN: 4th-5th of November 2023, we will meet up and start the hike at 10 a.m. at the Villa

WHERE: The "Kinderlandvilla Richard Zach", Kurweg 28, 8061 St. Radegund bei Graz

HOW TO GET THERE: Bus Nr. 250 from Dietrichsteinplatz to the stop "St. Radegund Reha-Klinik", then walking for a few minutes. If you come by car, please let us know beforehand, since parking spots are limited. In case of rain we will adapt the program and there won´t be the option to go to the climbing park. 

COSTS: 

• 15 Euros with ESNcard
• 20 Euros without ESNcard

      + 25 Euros if you want to join the optionalm climbing part on Sunday, but it´s OPTIONAL. 

WHAT to bring with you: 

• A sleeping bag/bedsheets (or buy one of our linen cabin sleeping bags at our office hour for 10 Euros) 
• Adequate boots, the hike is relatively easy firm footwear is a must!
• Some food for a picnic on top of Schöckl
• Bring your own booze! We will not provide any alcoholic beverages.
