ESN Austria Ski Event: Zell am See
ESN Austria Ski Event: Zell am See 05.04.2007 - 08.04.2007
The famous Skiing trip to Zell am See is repeated in April (snow guarantee: the ski ticket is valid at Kitzsteinhorn (Kaprun) which is a glacier nearby). Note that we are not organising it (ESN Austria together with WU Wien is) so I can only pass on the information I get. Program is not final yet so maybe there will be some smaller changes. We will organise the transport to get there. Read below for transport and payment details!
Yes we know that it is over the easter weekend: But the hotel was booked out at the other weekends. The advantage is that nobody will have lectures or exams at university!
Programm (as known yet);
- Of course every day skiing (on your own or you can book a ski course) (The ski card is valid in Zell am See. But it is also valid in Kaprun (Kitzsteinhorn). Free Buses are going there).
- Apres Ski Party at "Schnaps Hans"
- every day sauna (including drinks!) Last the time the Finns were leaving earlier than the Austrians ;-)
- every evening party at the special party apartment (drinks included for two hours!)
- every night party at Flann O'Brian (if you are not to tired ;-)
- and more....
As this is a nation wide event where students from all IXESN sections can take part. Therefore you will meet quite a lot of new people there.
Some parties have themes (announced to the participants before so they can prepare, for example Beach Party)
Ski equipment You have to bring your own equipment. If you don't have it here you can rent skies and ski boots: expected costs around 12 Euro per day. Tell us when you sign up. Or you organise it by yourself (for example Gigasport rents ski equipment. But then you have to carry it there and it is also more expensive as far as I know).
You can't ski yet? -> Ski course You can also book a ski or snowboard course. One day course costs 20 Euro, two day course 35 Euro. Just tell us when signing up. (You pay the courses directly in Zell am See so don't forget to bring the money there).

Costs: 210 Euro for ESN card holders, 220 Euro if you don't have an ESN card (including breakfast (buffet), big evening dinner (all you can eat buffet), 3 day ski ticket, sauna, entry to the pre parties) Travel costs not included! (Also drinks at Flann O'Brian or other bars are not included)
Places: There are about 20 places available for Graz. (If many people are interested and you sign up early we might get some more places). We will also keep a waiting list (in case someone cancels his/her participation) .

Sign up after 16.3.2007: You have to pay the full price when signing up. Sign up is possible till 23.3.2007 but only if there are still places available!

Important sign up details (Payment!):
- All payment details can be found in the following conditions. When signing up you have to agree to the Travel and Payment Conditions (here also in German ) of the organisers (WU Wien and ESN Austria). Especially note the cancelation fees!
- Sign up is only possible personally. You must do it yourself as you have to accept the terms with your signature (so you can't sign up for a friend unless you bring a signed print out of the above conditions from him/her!).
- When signing up you have to pay at least 100 Euro as advance payment (or the full amount which is prefered). Payment of the rest must be done till 30.3.2007. If you don't pay till then someone else from the waiting list will get your place if he/she pays before you!
- Full payment till 30.3.2007 or someone else might get your place.
- There will be also an waiting list if someone cancels his/her participation. Note that you might get an offer even very shortly before the event (1-2 days). If you are on the waiting list you can come to the office on 30.3.2007 (right before the office hours ends) to see if someone didn't pay till then and you will get this place then.
Travel details:
Either by car or by train. If you came with your car to Graz please tell us when signing up so we maybe can drive there by car. But it is more likely that we will go there by train. Train (there and back together) will cost around 22 Euro if you have a ÖBB Vorteilscard . If you don't have one around 44 Euro.
