Austria is full of beautiful mountains waiting for you to explore and autumn is the perfekt time to go for a great hike. Join us on our hiking trip on the 28th of October and explore the beautiful region around the "Röthelstein" and the "Drachenhöhle" (Dragon Cave).

Where do we go: 

The hike will be on a medium level with a highest point on 1.209m, so you should have some experience but it definitely doesn´t require advanced skills. Also, make sure to wear good shoes (waterproof hiking/trekking shoes recommended) and to take some snacks and water with you. It might get cold and windy especially at the top, so don´t forget to wear warm clothes or at least have some with you!

How to we get there: 

We will take a train from Graz to Mixnitz-Bärenschützklamm, therefore, we recommend having the "ÖBB-Vorteilscard". If you also have a "Topticket" (student ticket), the prices will be even cheaper. With the "ÖBB-Vorteilscard" the ticket will be approx. 4,20 Euros per direction.

MEETING POINT: 7:30 a.m. at the Graz Hauptbahnhof (main train station) 

RETURN TIME: Approx. 6-7p.m. 

COSTS: hike is for free, only take money for public transport with you (approx. 10 Euros without the "Topticket")

PS: If the weather forecast for Saturday 28th of October is not very good, we can move the hike to Sunday 29th. We will inform all participants via Email, at least one day before the planned date. In case of bad weather on both days that weekend, the event will get cancelled.
